10 personal practical takeaways from the first 10 summaries
New format for this one. Not summarizing a new episode this week…just reviewing learnings so far and writing about ways I’ve personally changed my behavior. Hope it’s helpful!
I eat more of a Mediterranean diet, in part for the benefits on brain health
I consume at least 1g EPA (from fish oil) daily for brain health, among many other benefits
New mindsets I’m working to adopt
Viewing healthy food as indulgent/delicious to help feel more full
Viewing stress as beneficial. I welcome it and recognize it is helping me achieve my goals
I don’t look at side effect lists. If I experience side effects, I view them as a signal the treatment is working.
I don’t look at my sleep wearable data if I slept like shit
I eat more kimichi and sauerkraut
I make sure I don’t accidentally fall asleep in the evening (e.g. while watching TV) since this messes with sleep pressure
I try to do at least one workout per week where I get to my max HR
If I workout in the morning, I do so fasted
I try to set a hard cutoff that I don’t eat past 8pm for sleep-fasting benefits
